Urgent Care and Minor Injuries
If your injury or illness is more minor, you can visit one of the Urgent Care or Minor Injuries Units in our area.
Minor Injuries Units offer nurse-led service to treat minor injuries and illnesses.
Urgent care is for illnesses and injuries that need immediate attention, but are not life threatening. This could include things like suspected broken bones and sprains, minor burns, rashes and cuts.

The urgent care service can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by making a sameday appointment through calling '111'. Accessing the service through '111', rather than just turning up at the urgent care centre, will reduce the time you have to wait at the centre to be seen. For patients who choose not to book an appointment through '111', the urgent care centre in Malton is open from 8am-8pm, seven days a week. |

The Urgent Treatment Centre can treat a number of common conditions such as: cuts and grazes; sprains and strains; simple broken bones; wound and wound infections; minor burns and scalds; minor head injuries; inesct and animal bites; minor eye injuries (foreign bodies in eye); back, head and neck injuries/whiplash; minor back injuries; skin infections/rashes/aallergic reactions; urine infections; rasided temperature/fever. Open seven days a week 7am to 8pm. |

NHS 111 is a telephone service for people in Yorkshire and the Humber to call if they need medical help fast but are not in a life-threatening situation.
Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a week, the service is for people who aren’t sure if they need to go to A&E, don’t have a GP to call or generally need reassurance and advice.
On dialling 111 a team of fully-trained advisers and experienced nurses will assess your condition and direct you to the local service that can help you best, when you need it.
